Appetite Fatigue should be a serious consideration when building any home food storage program. I have heard people foolishly exclaim that they have wheat, and if nothing else, they will just eat pancakes! That is a serious miscalculation that will not only cost them their comfort, but also their health and possibly their lives. Seriously.

Appetite fatigue is a real phenomenon which when simplified can be explained as extreme boredom with the food being offered. I'm not talking about a whiney, "Ahhh, not spaghetti again" kind of boredom. I'm talking about a serious, "No thanks, I'd rather starve" kind of boredom.

When undertaking something as serious as your familiy's nutritional security, consider appetite fatigue as a real threat and plan to prevent it.  With a little preplaning and some creativity you will be able to avoid appetite fatigue all together.
