Providing your family with whole grain goodness and long term food storage.

This website is lovingly dedicated to my mother who has taught me so much. I will be forever grateful to her for her constant example and her tireless effort in behalf of those of us blessed enough to be called her family.

Rye Crackers
Bake at 350 for 10 minutes

1/2 Cup Whole Wheat flour
1/2 Cup Rye Flour
1/2 tsp Salt

1 Tbsp Ground Carraway Seed
1 tsp onion salt

Tbsp Butter
1 Tbsp Molasses
1 Tbsp sugar
1/4 Cup Water

Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles fine crumbs. Add the molasses and water. Knead the dough till well combined, about three minutes.

Allow the dough to rest. The dough can be stored for several hours or overnight to allow for greater flavor development.

Roll the dough out very thin, about 1/8 of an inch. Cut into desired shapes and bake in a preheated oven for about ten minute. The crackers will crisp up as they cool.
